The "office" side of wood burning.
Welcome to the "Office" based equipment "Blog",
Just a bit about a few small things that might make your Pyrography journey just that little bit more enjoyable and easy.
Workspace:
Might be a daft thing to talk about. But having an area where you can walk away, with your burn being disturb, can be very handy. Also, it sure way to prevent fire risks. It's doesn't have to be a very large area, just enough space that you can have all your equipment and work comfortable. You can't work productively if you squeeze your self in the corner.
If you have a space that you can use and pack up, once everything has cooled. Then use this space. For Years, I would burn at the dining room table and move everything whenever we would eat. Then move everything back once we had finished with the table for food.
But what matters the most is, making sure that you have enough space to move and that you are able to get away if anything should happen. E.g) the wood over heats and goes up in flames or Burner combusts and you have to put it down.
Making sure you have the space to be safe and comfortable. After all, what are you doing Pyrography for? To have some fun and express yourself with fire.
Printer:
If, like me you can't draw or put designs on the wood. You may find it easier to print designs and trace them out. So, having access to a printer would be big hand.
It's doesn't have to be a big professional printer, just as long as you can see what your burning. It will do the job, you here to make the image. No need for a fancy image to work off. If you need to spend the extra cash, treat your self to a nice piece of wood or a new nibs for your burner.
