One Of many creatures I have very rarely seen in the real world, Particularly alive.

So, this is the inspiration for this piece. My love of how curious they look. Always alert to their surroundings, yet still have a manner of playfulness with one another.

With it's defining black & white coat, their was no other name than to claim it's colour matcher. The Zebra. Hence the name "British Zebra". Tho maybe not as graceful & very much smaller that a Zebra, both magnificent & interesting creatures.

 Both sharing a level of difficulty burning, due to their "Simpler" colouring. Getting the right balance of light, tone & shading is vital to getting a resemblance & realism with a burn.

Too Dark, you can't see much detail,

Too Light, Fades into the wood,

Too Much Light & Dark & the whole piece is just a mess.

With that, this piece is the perfect example of find the right balance in all tings. Not for perfection or for the "Right" way of things. BUT, to find a common ground on which we can all stand together.
